Her Story
Who I am beyond the crown
Aloha! I'm Samantha Mead, Ms. Hawaiʻi United USA 2026, and I'm so grateful you're here. I'm a practicing attorney at the Office of the State Public Defender in Kauaʻi, a titleholder, and the founder of Wellness Warriors — a women-empowered community built in Hawaiʻi.
Wellness Warriors is the foundation for everything I am, as I work to empower women to find self-love and confidence through proper nutrition and sustainable wellness practices. I'm so honored to be representing Hawaiʻi and my platform on the national stage on June 11, 2027 in Daytona Beach, Florida, as I compete for the title of Ms. United USA.
My path to health, happiness, and wellness was not a straight line. I spent years struggling with obesity, depression, and a lack of confidence and self-love. After battling health struggles over the years, I finally took hold of my life and lost 70 pounds. I rebuilt my relationship with my body and mind from the inside out. That journey is why I became an NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Coach — so I could help other women find their own way to strength and self-love, not just admire mine.
Off stage, you'll find me at the beach, exercising at the gym, cooking (my love language), dancing, volunteering, or organizing my next community event. Wellness isn't about restriction — it's about joy, balance, and showing up for yourself daily. And it should be accessible to every woman, not just the ones with time and money to spare.
